What problems did you encounter while developing your solution? How do you plan to overcome
them?/How did you overcome them?
i had to make a class that determined whether an integer is odd or even and had to use modulus in order to do it. i had problems using modulus. tomorrow, i'll look up how to use modulus and then finish this class

How did you go about testing your program? What were the results of that testing?
My program was supposed to tell me a car's odometer readings and it worked out well. on the console it showed the miles per gallon and how many miles the car had driven already

What progress did you make today on your solution? What needs to be completed next class?
today i started on the MPG class project and i finished the variables, constructors, and the methods. next class i have to answer the questions and make the car do specific functions like keep track of the starting and ending odometer reading and make it return the miles per gallon

What progress did you make today on your solution? What needs to be completed next class?
Today I started the NameThatCelebrity project and so far I was able to make the name Allen Alda, Gregory Peck, and john Wayne show up. Tomorrow I have to use the length and the substring methods to make the names lan A, hn Wa, and egory P show up

How did you go about testing your program? What were the results of that testing?
Today I tried out the math commands like ++ and -- and they either increment or decrement the variable by one. j++ = j+1 and j-- = j-1. i also did PEMDAS problem like q=4 p=40(2+8*q/2-p) i'm not good at math but i got the answer -20

What progress did you make today on your solution? What needs to be completed next class?
Today I answered the questions to lesson 2 on the online textbook. Next class, I have to finish the questions for lesson 4 and 5 and then start the math operators program.

What choices did you face in developing your solution, and how did you choose among them?
I had to choose which characters I wanted to use for my animals face. I decided to use @ for the eyes, & for the nose, and <<>> for the ears, and OOOO, for the sides of the face

How did you go about testing your program? What were the results of that testing?
Today we used the system.out.print command and typed in different things like math problems and unicode charaters. The results were that when you type in something like System.out.print("\uoo9e"), it would give you the accented "e".

How did you go about testing your program? What were the results of that testing?
I tried copying certain codes from my other projects and pasting them into the new one figuring that the same effect would happen. This didnt work because some of the code didnt belong there and it would draw diagonal or the opposite direction that I wantd it to go.

Day 1
What progress did you make today on your solution? What needs to be completed next class?
Today we are finally starting to write a little but of code but it isnt finished and nothing has happened yet. Tomorrow we'll probably finish the code and we'll be able ot execute it as a program.
